SENATOR Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa is confident that there will be no trouble from the camp of Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ if he is arrested by the Senate.
His remarks follow after the Senate has issued an arrest order for Pastor Apollo to ensure his attendance in Senator Risa Hontiveros’s investigation.
Dela Rosa pointed out that Pastor Quiboloy is not a violent person and even his followers are very kind, making it unlikely that members of KOJC would resist the arresting officers.
“I know Pastor Quiboloy is not a violent person. His followers are very kind,” said Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.
The senator believes that if the KOJC leader does not want to be arrested, he would simply go into hiding as it would be contrary to the image of the well-known Pastor to resist authority or the government.
“He will go into hiding if he doesn’t want to be arrested. But for him to resist and wage war against the government, is far from my imagination,” Dela Rosa added.
I will be his security’: Sen. Bato offers to protect Pastor ACQ at Senate investigation
Meanwhile, Sen. Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa provided assurance for the security of Pastor Apollo.
During a press briefing at the Senate, Bato said he is willing to be Pastor Apollo’s security if he attends the said investigation.
“If he’s afraid because there’s a threat to his life, I can be his security at the Senate. I can offer myself to be his security just for him to be present at the hearing,” he added.
Senator Bato is among the lawmakers who oppose the arrest of Pastor Apollo to speak regarding the allegations against him that have surfaced in Risa Hontiveros’s investigation.
Senator Bato believes that Pastor Apollo has a compelling reason why he does not want to attend Hontiveros’s hearing.
