EDUCATION Secretary Sonny Angara emphasized the need for transparent and efficient procurement at the agency’s first-ever Suppliers’ Summit 2025 on March 19.
As the principal author of the New Government Procurement Act (NGPA), the former Senator addressed suppliers and bidders as businesses and key partners in education reform.
The Summit serves as a platform to accelerate procurement processes among potential partners.
“We can’t stay at a red light. We can’t be stuck in the traffic of inefficiency. No more reason to delay. Green light now—for better procurement, for quality education,” stated Department of Education Secretary Sonny Angara.
