STUDENTS and faculty members of St. Jude College Dasmariñas made an effort to visit the Las Piñas-Parañaque Wetland Park (LPPWP) to conduct a cleanup and experiential learning activity as part of their Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) under the National Service Training Program (NSTP).
LPPWP Protected Area Management Office staff provided the students an orientation about the LPPWP, its wetland ecosystem, its importance to the health of people and the environment, and ways to protect and conserve our resources. The students were also given a tour of the wetland park’s facilities and attractions.
The NSTP provides opportunities for students to serve the community and rekindle the spirit of volunteerism or bayanihan among the youth.
