The Hague, Netherlands – Amid the ongoing investigation by the International Criminal Court (ICC), unwavering support for former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte continues to pour in as his legal counsel, Atty. Nicholas Kaufman, revealed dozens of handwritten letters sent by Filipinos from around the world.
In photos and video footage shared online, Kaufman can be seen holding and reading the letters—each containing messages of prayer, encouragement, and loyalty—addressed to Duterte, who is currently facing charges related to his controversial anti-drug campaign.
“I will read each letter personally and make sure President Duterte knows how much he is loved and supported. These aren’t just pieces of paper—these are the voices of the people,” Kaufman stated.
He emphasized that these messages are vital in lifting the spirit of the former president, especially during a time of global scrutiny and legal challenges.
Meanwhile, Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) continued to gather in front of the ICC headquarters as a sign of solidarity with Duterte, expressing opposition to what they claim is an unfair campaign against the former leader.
