A total of 110 complaints were recorded by the police between October 7 to December 31, 2023, according to the Swedish National Council for crime prevention.
The data was almost five times higher than the number reported in the same period in 2022, with only 24 cases on file.
An investigator for the Swedish agency said that almost 20% of the complaints were linked to the Hamas attack or the situation in Gaza.
The complainants received threats and offenses against individuals who attacked them based on their Jewish background and blamed them for Israel’s actions in Gaza.
