World’s largest Harry Potter Theme Park opens in Tokyo, Japan

ON Friday, Warner Brothers Studios’ Harry Potter Theme Park in Tokyo, Japan welcomed a large group of excited fans on its opening day.

The Warner Brothers Studio Tour Tokyo – the making of Harry Potter is one of two Harry Potter-inspired theme parks in the world with the first one being built in the United Kingdom.

The park in Tokyo which recently opened on Friday is the world’s largest indoor Harry Potter Theme Park.

During the opening ceremony of this event, British actor Tom Felton who played Draco Malfoy’s role in Harry Potter films made an appearance.

The entrance fee to get into the said amusement park is priced at 6,300 yen for those 18 and older, 5,200 yen for those aged 12 to 17, and 3,800 yen for children aged 4 to 11. Entry is only by reservation.

Tickets sold out Friday on the day of the opening.

Many of the visitors who made sure not to miss the much-awaited day could be seen wearing costumes, taking selfies, and casting spells while in the fantasy world of the blockbuster movie series.

Note, the park, located in Tokyo’s Nerima Ward, was built on the site of the now-closed Toshimaen Park— formerly one of the largest amusement parks in the capital.
