“Basically, the Association of Philippine Medical Colleges – Student Network is the student counterpart of the Association of Philippine Medical Colleges Foundation, Inc. So basically, when you say APMC-SN, this is fully manned by a student body from different medical schools across the region of Mindanao,” saad ni Andro Larong, Regional Vice President, APMC.

Ang tatlong araw na pagtitipon ay dinaluhan ng mga representante ng iba’t ibang medical institutions sa Mindanao kung saan maliban sa academics, ay sumabak din ang mga ito sa iba’t ibang patimpalak.

“I think that this event is really important because it’s essential for medical professionals to build networks and connections. So, having an event like this is important since the medical field is broad, so we get the chance to meet other medical students in Mindanao,” wika ni Ayanah Bianca Victoria, Davao Medical School Foundation Inc.

“It’s been a very fulfilling 3-day activity because, you know, with these kinds of events, we were able to connect with other schools. And also, we were able to collaborate and foster camaraderie with everyone. It’s been a nice experience,” ayon kay Shajinie Lou Marie Amper, Liceo de Cagayan University.

“It is very important na may collaboration kami between the Mindanao schools because later in our years sa medicine, we will be able to meet each other naman din. And to form this kind of camaraderie is very important, not just from our school, but to other schools also,” ayon kay Alexa Marie Paden, Medical Student Council President, Brokenshire College – School of Medicine.

“Very important po kasi aside from, of course, learning about healing other people, it’s also important to us to establish relationships with other schools and also with our colleagues. At the end of the day, we’re all going to be working in the medical community. So through APMC, we are establishing relationships with other schools. We are meeting new colleagues and future colleagues na ma-i-interact namin sa hospital,” para kay Laura Ponciano, Jose Maria College Foundation Inc. – College of Medicine.

Ayon sa mga future medical practitioners, mahalaga ang isinagawang pagtitipon dahil napapalawak nito ang kanilang kasanayan gayundin ang pagpapatibay ng collaboration ng mga mag-aaral at medical institutions.

“It shows na despite our differences, we can be united as one. So, despite na there’s cultural differences, we can be united as one po. There is a shared humanity, there is a shared goal ng lahat ng medical schools, and that is to provide quality healthcare education, not only in Mindanao but also in the Philippines,” ayon kay Al Jowaid Omar, Mindanao State University – General Santos City.

“Yes po, iyong experience and not only that, kasi we were able to connect with other students and have conversations kung paano iyong dynamics ng mga school namin compared doon sa mga school nila. I think, very important iyon especially sa maliit na community ng mga doctor and medical students here in Mindanao specifically,” ayon kay Rawan Panganting, Mindanao State University – Iligan and Marawi Campus.

“One thing I learned by joining APMC-Recon 2025 is that even if you come from different backgrounds, different schools, when you come together as one, you are all medical students and all of you will create that one big impact in order to serve the community,” saad ni Claire Justine Virador, University of Southern Mindanao, North Cotabato.

Dahil dito, labis ang kanilang pasasalamat sa APMC at host school ngayong taon na Jose Maria College Foundation Inc.

“Message to APMC, sana mag-continue pa po kami sa network namin to collaborate and to engage with each other. Of course, to JMC, as host school, amazing talaga iyong preparation nila po,” wika naman ni Louise Steven Entorum University of Southeastern Philippines.

“The host school, congratulations on hosting a very successful event. We really appreciated it. From beginning to end, we all enjoyed it and had no problems with it. So, congratulations, APMC and JMC,” saad ni Zabdielle Dahili, Xavier University Dr. Jose P Rizal School of Medicine.

“Our message for the host school, grabe ang laki po ng school niyo. Very thankful kasi sobrang alaga sa amin, especially us, mga participants, pati kami mga staff and organizers. Hindi kami nagugutom. Lahat aircon, grabe, alagang-alaga kami. Tapos, maganda talaga iyong pag-prepare nila. Grabe, na-challenge kami sa national. So, very thankful ako for Andro Larong for organizing this event. Super successful siya. Kakayanin din namin sa national. Thank you so much, JMC, for hosting the regional convention for Mindanao,” ayon kay Nasstassja Lipos, National Vice President, APMC.
