3+3 foreign ministers meet in Iran to promote regional peace

THE foreign ministers of six countries came together in Tehran for the 3+3 format to discuss key issues related to regional peace and development.

In Tehran, foreign ministers from Iran, Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia held a pivotal meeting.

As a major outcome of this gathering, these six nations issued a joint communique in which they underlined the paramount importance of fostering friendly relations among each other.

They emphasized the need to base these relations on principles such as good-neighborly friendship, peaceful dispute resolution, respect for sovereignty, political independence, territorial integrity, and the inviolability of internationally recognized borders.

This joint communique also called on these countries to intensify constructive dialogue, deepen political mutual trust, and expand economic cooperation.

The ultimate goal is to facilitate enduring and peaceful development within the region.

Earlier reports from Iranian media had highlighted that the meeting of foreign ministers from the “3+3 format” countries is designed to enable these nations to independently address regional issues without interference from external forces or Western countries.

This includes peace negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, forming part of a broader effort to ensure stability in the South Caucasus region.
