THREE members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) died after a suspected suicide bomber detonated an improvised explosive device (VBIED) at the main gate of a military post in a town in eastern Syria.
The three members of the coalition died after they confronted a suicide bomber who drove a car equipped with a bomb at the military post.
The attack on Monday also injured seven others.
This is not the first time ISIS attacked members of the SDF.
Founded in October 2015, the SDF is a multi-ethnic coalition of Kurdish, Arabic, and Christian fighters operating through the local Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria (AANES).
The U.S. supported the establishment of the coalition that has established itself as the West’s main partner in the fight against the Islamic State group.
