THE 9th Infantry Battalion (9IB), 9th Infantry “Spear” Division recovered 29 anti-personnel mines and 800 rounds of assorted ammunition in an operation against the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) remnants in Bagong Silang III, Labo, Camarines Norte on January 14, 2024.
The successful operation is part of a series of operations by Spear troopers against the CTG in the Bicol Region.
The Army leadership lauded 9IB troopers for the recovery of the war materiel, which resulted in the curtailing of the firepower of CTG remnants in Camarines Norte.
Meanwhile, the 9ID leadership vowed to sustain its focused military operations to safeguard the Bicol region from all threats as the division welcomed the year with exemplary trust and satisfaction ratings from Bicolanos.
