President Rodrigo Roa “Digong” Duterte (PRRD) admitted that he was not aware how good Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar is as a road czar under the Build, Build, Build program of the government.
On SMNI exclusive with Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy (PACQ), executive Pastor of The King of Jesus Christ, Duterte bared that he’s deeply impressed with DPWH Secretary Mark Villar. According to the president, he is amazed how Secretary Mark Villar delivered excellent service under the administration’s flagship program, its Build Build Build projects.
The golden age of infrastructure under the Build, Build, Build program is one of the legacies the Duterte Administration will leave the Philippines. Buildings after buildings, roads after roads, bridges, fly overs, are being built everywhere amid the pandemic.
Since 2016, the DPWH has already built over 26,000-kilometer roads all over the Philippines.
At first, President Duterte thought Sec. Villar would not be able to deliver his duty as he is a son of a well-known family of senator Cynthia Villar and former senate president and a businessman Manny Villar.
According to the President, “He is a very good worker, talagang maya alam, I thought kasi anak ng mayaman, itong Villar, baka nag-secretary lang for the glory of it. Noong magtrabaho na, bumilib ako. Sabi ko he is really a worthy son of a Cynthia and Manny Villar. Mahusay ang daming ginawa, 29,000 kilometer rods.”
Meanwhile, Pastor Apollo has lauded the good leadership of President Duterte in his remaining years as the country’s chief executive, emphasizing the he selected brilliant people around him who have been a great help in fulfilling their promise of progress and development for the Country
“You have in the best people the cabinet,” The Pastor’s said.
On the other hand, Duterte clarified once and for all on how the government’s fund is being utilized especially in addressing programs such as infrastructure projects in all parts of the country.
Apart from these, the President has also lauded the other programs of different agencies especially promoting the tourism industry in the country. As a matter of fact, despite the pandemic the government was able to allocate funds and rehabilitate Manila Bay and Boracay. These are another milestone of the administration which the past administrations were not able to fulfill.
