FORMER Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Atty. Salvador Panelo is seriously concerned on the administration of President Bongbong Marcos Jr.
That if he does not deal with the controversies he is involved with.
“That’s why I’m seriously concerned with this president because, as I said in my previous articles, whether we like it or not, or whether he likes it or not, the issue on whether he is a drug taker or not, is such a paramount importance not only to the people of this country but to himself. Because when he won, he was able to resurrect the name of Marcos,” according to Atty. Salvador Panelo – Former Chief.
This is how concerned former Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Atty. Salvador Panelo is regarding the issues faced by President Bongbong Marcos Jr.
According to Atty. Panelo, Marcos Jr. was able to redeem their family name during the campaign and has once again gained the trust and confidence of the majority because of the political capital that his running mate, Vice President Sara Duterte has.
But now, it is on the verge of being destroyed again.
“You gonna waste that if you do not resolve this issue of whether or not you are taking, or have taken drugs,” stated Atty. Salvador Panelo, Former Chief Presidential Legal Counsel.
Panelo compared Marcos to leaders of other countries such as former US Pres. Barack Obama who admitted to using illegal drugs in the past but somehow, did not affect his performance as president of the United States.
“It’s better to admit it. The people will understand you. Because they will look…not look, you will be judged not on the basis on what you have taken before or even now but on the basis of what your are doing for the country, [if] you’re performing well, that’s nothing,” added Panelo.
Panelo added that while many are dissatisfied with how Marcos leads this country, he still has 4 years left to somehow get the job done.
“He will be abused. And he will really be fallen, they will join, they will, he will be dragged into the quagmire of mistrust, of discontent, and he will be fired,” he added.
