AirAsia upgrades system for enhanced travel and booking experience

AIRASIA Philippines announced that they will have a system upgrade from 7 P.M. on July 10 to 3 AM on July 11, which will affect all online transactions from bookings, check-in procedures, online kiosks, and bag drop to everything of AirAsia-operated airports.

According to Steve Dailisan, AirAsia’s Head of Communications and Public Affairs and First Officer, online services available through the AirAsia MOVE app, such as managing booking, check-in, payment for existing bookings, and other add-ons and purchases, will also be temporarily unavailable.

During this period, guests are advised to go directly to the check-in counters to secure their printed boarding passes.

“All our systems will be lost at the airport. So before the system upgrade, we will print boarding passes, etc., and distribute them to passengers as they check in,” First Officer Steve Dailisan Head of Communications and Public Affairs AirAsia Philippines said.

Dailisan further explained that AirAsia’s system upgrade includes updating its New Skies software to further speed up all online transactions from booking, payment, flight schedule changes, check-in, and purchase of add-ons. on, providing visitors with an enhanced customer experience.

AirAsia guests can also expect additional add-on features in AirAsia MOVE as a result of the system upgrade.

“AirAsia’s system upgrade which includes the updating of its New Skies software is expected to fast track all online transactions (mobile app and on the ground) from booking, payment, flight schedule modification, check-in and purchase of add-ons, providing guests with enhanced customer experience. Guests can also expect more add-on features with the AirAsia MOVE as a result of the system upgrade,” he added.

AirAsia Philippines has advised guests needing medical or special assistance to arrive at the airport before 7 PM to ensure their needs are accommodated.

Meanwhile, the low-cost airline has reassured passengers that no flights will be disrupted during the system upgrade.
