Bong Go supports local development in Isabela province

SENATOR Christopher “Bong” Go, Vice Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Finance, attended the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies of some major infrastructure projects he supported in Isabela province on Thursday, January 23. He stressed that development projects promote economic activity, foster social interactions, and enhance the overall quality of life for residents.

Aside from joining the province’s Bambanti Festival, he personally attended the groundbreaking of the Southern Isabela Medical Center Cancer Center as well as the Freedom Park and Library, both in Echague. As Vice Chair of the Senate Finance Committee, he advocated for sufficient funding for these projects together with fellow lawmakers and local leaders.

In addition to these events, Senator Go also supported the completion of a Sports Complex and a Super Health Center, both in Echague. That day, he also attended the groundbreaking ceremony of a Super Health Center in Cauayan City.

Meanwhile, Senator Go also extended his commendation for the former Isolation Center he advocated for in Cauayan City that now serves as a multi-purpose complex.

As Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, Go emphasized that such health infrastructures are crucial in strengthening the province’s preparedness and response to public health emergencies.

In addition to these development projects mentioned during his recent visit, Senator Go has consistently supported various infrastructure and development initiatives in Isabela, aimed at bolstering disaster preparedness, improving healthcare access, and fostering economic progress.

These include the construction and rehabilitation of flood control structures, road improvements, and the funding for the establishment of 19 Super Health Centers to provide essential medical services at the grassroots level.

Senator Go assured the people of Isabela that he remains committed to their welfare and will continue supporting initiatives that will uplift their quality of life.

Go, who is known as Mr. Malasakit for his compassionate service to Filipinos in need.

Senator Go participated in other significant activities in the province on the same day, including the Isabela Bambanti Festival, a meet and greet with the Isabela media, and the distribution of relief to indigents in Echague.
