Coast Guard Station Bohol rescued one of the three missing children in Tubang Cave, Bohol

THE Coast Guard Station Bohol rescued one of the three missing children at Tubang Cave, Barangay Ceiling, Antequera, Bohol on 29 June 2024.

The search and rescue team immediately proceeded to the area after receiving information from Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) Antequera about the three missing children, the search and rescue team immediately proceeded to the area to conduct search and rescue operation.

Upon arrival, two from the three missing children were already rescued and were receiving medical attention at Gallares Provincial Hospital.  At around 1:09 AM, the team successfully located and rescued the last missing child and immediately brought her to the same hospital for further treatment and observation.

However, the brother of one missing child was trapped and suffocated when he attempted to rescue his sister. He was immediately brought to the nearest hospital but was declared dead by the attending physician.

The Coast Guard remains committed to serving and protecting the community, always ready to respond to emergencies with courage and dedication.
