“We established our subsidiary since 2011. So during the past 10 years, we, our communication network here and also we share our company culture here to, take social responsibility… better life here,” ayon kay Wang Ruchun, Vice President, FiberHome PH.
Kabilang na dito si Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian, DICT Secretary Ivan Uy, DTI Asst.
“China has some kind of advantages in this area that we can share with the Philippines; we’ll help the Philippines develop your information technology,” ani Amb. Huang Xilian, Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines.
“We are very close neighbor. This is a very important advantage. Second is the Philippines has shown a good prospect of development. Obviously, your economy is taking off. Number three, which is also very important factor, your administration has provided continuity and certainty to foreign investors,” ayon pa kay Amb. Xilian.
“We look forward to more investments coming from the United States, from China, from Japan, Korea, and many other countries who really offered their hand in welcoming the Philippines to join, in bringing the Philippines to the digital economy around the world,” ani Sec. Ivan Uy, Department of Information and Communications Technology.
“Definitely, it’s a big challenge because of our archipelago. While we may have better services in the urban areas but we still need to connect everyone else. The president said, we will not leave any region behind,” Asec. Glenn Penaranda, Foreign Trade Service Corps, DTI.
“Si President BBM is very much on board. He really wants to take the lead and telling us, you really have to get connectivity out there. But aside from just getting connectivity out, I make sure that I’m in sync with the DTI Secretary Pascual, with any other agencies, DSWD, to be acting as a team, kasi kung bigyan lang natin ng connectivity yan, walang education from DepEd, walang material from TESDA. We have to work together and that’s probably one of the main directives of the President. None of us are really islands. We work as a team to bring the country forward and fulfil his promise na ang pangarap niyo, ay pangarap ko rin,” ayon kay Sec. Ivan Uy, Department of Information and Communications Technology.
