FORMER Senator Trillanes IV received a strong response from former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte on the latter’s latest episode of Gikan sa Masa, Para sa Masa, on SMNI.
Duterte’s comments came after Trillanes pleaded with the Marcos administration to allow the international criminal court to investigate the alleged extra-judicial killing.
According to the ex-senator, the ICC investigation will prove whether the previous administration committed crimes against humanity.
But the former president questioned this plea from Trillanes, who was an ex-mutineer during the administration of then-President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
“You know, Trillanes, there are two types of people who have no principles. They’re like floating on air. You have no principle. You do not have any principles. If you don’t have a principle. Face me. Come see me in Davao, wake me up [in my house]. Let’s face each other,” according to Former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte, Republic of the Philippines.
The former president. emphasized that he is ready to face Trillanes and all of his accusations against him.
It can be remembered that the fight against illegal drugs, corruption, and insurgency intensified during the Duterte administration.
For six years, Duterte maintained high trust and approval ratings compared to the previous presidents of the country.
