IRANIAN Ambassador Reza Ameri said Iran and the UAE are interested in finding ways to have warmer and closer relations.
Ameri hailed the continuous progress between Iran and UAE relations adding that the future is very bright and full of hope for both countries.
The ambassador said Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian’s recent travel to Abu Dhabi last week indicates how the country puts special importance on enhancing ties with its neighbors.
During the visit, Iran and the UAE also signed an agreement to expand air transport services between the two countries as well as increase trade and tourism opportunities.
The UAE cut ties with Iran at the height of a diplomatic crisis involving Saudi Arabia in 2016 but restored relations with the Islamic Republic in 2022.
The Foreign Minister of Iran extended Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi‘s invitation for the UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to visit the Islamic Republic.
