HINDI pa umano tapos ang gulo sa Kamara ayon sa isang kongresista matapos tanggalin kamakailan sa puwesto si Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo bilang number 2 congressman ng 19th Congress.
Muling binubuhay ang isyu ng hidwaan ng mga liderato sa Kamara matapos ngang magkaroon ng rigodon sa leadership post nitong nakaraang linggo.
Nagkaayusan na sa Kamara nitong nakaraang Lunes matapos ang isyu ng tanggalan sa liderato.
Bago riyan, tinanggal bilang senior deputy speaker si Rep. Arroyo.
Capampangan din ang pumalit sa kaniya sa puwesto bilang top-2 congressman ng 19th Congress sa katauhan ni Pampanga Rep. Dong Gonzales.
Present din si Arroyo nang manumpa sa Gonzales sa binakante nitong puwesto.
Kung pagbabasehan ang mga ganap, masasabi na ‘all’s well that ends well’ na sa Kamara.
Ngunit, isa sa mga kongresista ang binubuhay ang issue.
Ayon kay Liberal Party President at Albay Rep. Edcel Lagman, hindi pa tapos ang tinawag niyang ‘drama’ sa Kamara.
Para kay Lagman, hindi basta palalagpasin ni Arroyo ang demotion sa kaniya.
Bagkus ay naghihintay lamang aniya ito ng tamang panahon para rumesbak.
“The drama in the House has not ended. Astute and experienced politician that she is, GMA will not take lying down her humiliating and insulting demotion. She may be biding her time to make a counteroffensive,” pahayag ni Rep. Edcel Lagman | Liberal Party President.
Nauna nang sinabi ni Arroyo na napagbintangan siyang pasimuno ng coup d’etat laban kay Romualdez bagay na itinanggi ng dating pangulo ng bansa.
Subalit para kay Lagman, dapat ilabas ni Romualdez ang detalye ng umano’y ouster plot laban sa kaniya.
Para aniya malinawan ang mga kongresista sa biglaan demotion kay Arroyo.
“It is incumbent for the Speaker, in the interest of the House Members still in the dark, to reveal the inculpatory details of a plot by GMA for her to deserve such an abrupt, unceremonious, and humiliating demotion from Senior Deputy Speaker to one of the many Deputy Speakers,” dagdag ni Lagman.
Para naman sa PDP-Laban stalwart na si Congressman Johny Pimentel, iniintriga lamang ni Lagman ang Mababang Kapulungan.
Saad niya, nagkaayos na ang liderato at wala nang issue na dapat pang balikan.
Umano’y pagpapatuloy ng tensiyon sa Kamara, hindi totoo—Rep. Pimentel
“They are belaboring the issue too much. They’re exaggerating the issue. As what you have seen in the past few days, work in Congress has come back to normalcy. Tensions have already been diffused. You have seen for your eyes, what happen last Monday during the oath taking of Senior Deputy Speaker Dong Gonzales, Former President Gloria Arroyo was there to give her support,” ayon kay Rep. Johnny Pimentel, 2nd District, Surigao del Sur.
Saad ni Pimentel, marami pang trabahong naghihintay sa kanila sa Kamara sa halip na atupagin ang issue.
Lalo na’t ilang araw na lamang ay recess na naman sa Kongreso.
“I believe that we should not exaggerate this issue too much. Because we only have 3 session days to go before we go on recess. And at the moment we still have so many pending bills especially priority bills of President Marcos. And Speaker wants us to focus so that we can have this approved before we go on recess. Eh kung palagi nating binabalik-balikan itong issue which is for me is a very useless issue, hindi po tayo makapag-concentrate sa trabaho po natin,” ayon pa kay Pimentel.
Sa ngayon, walang response si Arroyo sa bagong pahayag ni Lagman.
Banat naman ni Pimentel, ang mga nagre-recycle sa isyu ang makikinabang kung magkakagulo sila sa Kamara.
“Kung palagi nating binabalikan ito, eh intriga na yun. There are some quarters I believe that are, you know exaggerating or emphasizing this issue so that para magkagulo dito sa Kongreso, that is what they want. And that they will be the once, this people who are politically insinuating that there is really and alleged plot are the ones who will benefit if everything goes wrong in Congress because of this rumors,” ani Pimentel.
