PRESIDENTIAL son Hunter Biden received tax charges filed by federal prosecutors.
The U.S. Justice Department has filed nine new charges against the presidential son, and this includes failure to file and pay taxes, tax evasion, and filing a false return.
Authorities claim that Hunter Biden had been using the money to lead a quote-unquote extravagant lifestyle.
In a 56-page indicted filed in California, prosecutors allege that between 2016 and October 15, 2020 Hunter Biden spent his money on drugs, escorts and girlfriends, luxury hotels and rental properties, exotic cars, clothing, and other items of a personal nature, in short, everything but his taxes.
Spent this money on drugs, escorts and girlfriends, luxury hotels and rental properties, exotic cars, clothing, and other items of a personal nature, in short, everything but his taxes.
And if convicted in the tax case, hunter could face up to 17 years in jail.
The first time that Hunter Biden was indicted was in September of this year. The case is about allegations that he lied about using drugs when purchasing a firearm.
Hunter also previously faced misdemeanor on tax-related charges.
Meanwhile, his lawyer on Thursday said that the new charges are politically motivated.
Biden Attorney Abbe Lowell in a statement said that if his client’s last name was anything other than Biden, the charges in Delaware, and now California, would not have been brought.
“If Hunter’s last name was anything other than Biden, the charges in Delaware, and now California, would not have been brought,” according to Atty. Abbe Lowell, Lawyer of Hunter Biden.
It can be noted that President Joe Biden is not mentioned in the indictment and the White House has yet to comment on the matter.
