A Japan Airlines plane was in flames as it landed on a runway at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport.
The said plane was an airbus A350 operating as flight 516 from Shin-Chitose Airport on Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido.
Authorities suspect that the plane collided with a Japan coast guard aircraft after landing.
The said plane was carrying 379 people, while the coastguard aircraft had six people on board.
All 379 people on the Japan Airlines plane have been evacuated, but 5 out of the 6 coastguard members are still missing.
Reports citing Japan Airlines said that this accident is the first to happen in decades.
Japanese authorities are investigating the incident, and are looking for the remaining missing coast guard crewmembers.
