THE Jose Maria College Foundation, Inc.’s College of Law Mooters were hailed as the national champion in the recently concluded 3rd University of Cebu – Konrad Adenauer Stiftung International Environmental Law Moot Court Competition held at the University of Cebu on October 12-15, 2023.
This year’s theme focused on renewable energy and climate change obligations of states.
Aside from emerging as the national winner, JMCFI also bagged special awards. April Noellie Armilla was named the Best Oralist for the final round, while Jemimah Ganancial was named as Best Oralist for the prelim rounds.
Meanwhile, the JMCFI College of Law mooters also include John Rey Codilla, Eryel Comania, Ronald Jay Ortiz, and April Beries, headed by their coach—Atty. Gretchen Cañedo with the supervision of Dean Atty. Israelito Torreon.
The team also thanked Rev. Dr. Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, the founding president of Jose Maria College Foundation, Inc., and the school administration for their all-out support.
Through the years, JMCFI College of Law has displayed exceptional talents in debate competitions, in fact—it was also hailed as the champion in the Tehankee Moot Court Competition in 2019.
