STRAIGHT-forward and without a hint of hesitation. The Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sis. Nelida Lizada expressed her feelings about the harassment and intimidation being done by authorities against Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy and the church workers following the Day of Infamy, which happened on June 10, 2024.
This is a day that the members and missionaries of KOJC will never forget.
The day when violent police officers desecrated and humiliated the sacred religious compounds of KOJC in Davao City and Sarangani Province.
The day when violent police officers disrespected and hurt the defenseless church missionaries.
Because of this, KOJC workers and members, especially the youth, women, and senior citizens who witnessed firsthand the violent attack on the KOJC religious compounds, experienced intense fear, trauma, and anxiety.
And despite the violence suffered by KOJC – instead of stopping the harassment, the police have intensified it further.
Now – cops are stationed around the KOJC religious compound in Davao city 24 hours a day.
They say it’s for police visibility— but who still believes the excuse coming from these cops?
“Where is law and order? Where is your sound mind? Where is your sense of righteous judgment? Nowhere. You are generals, you are supposed to be smart, but why can’t you distinguish between right and wrong? Then you come here, climb our walls and whatever else, fly drones over us, and do all sorts of things. Why don’t you put everything in order? Let’s talk. Don’t act like you’re living in the 15th century. Look at your actions. Are those the actions of modern, orderly law enforcers? Let me ask you this. This is coming from my heart. Look, where is order, where is law and order? You are no longer in your sanity. You are beyond, I don’t know who influenced you. Whatever your leader’s mindset is, that is the result of your actions. Just like our beloved Pastor’s mind and heart are set on order,” expressed Sis. Nelida Lizada, Chief Executive Officer, KOJC.
The KOJC does not fathom why, despite several failed attempts to serve arrest warrants at the KOJC religious compounds, the police are still relentlessly monitoring them with armed officers.
“This sentiment is not only mine. I’m sure this is the sentiment of all the Kingdom citizens you have offended. Remember what was taught to us are the words of God. Be thankful that Pastor changed us. No matter what happens, what is taught to us is ‘love your enemy’. That law of the Lord is difficult. That’s why I asked the Father, but we have to use our faith. Because we believe, all of you who have no God in your hearts, listen to this. The judgment from heaven is more painful. The most painful payment for a sin is committing injustice against your fellow man. That’s my reminder to you because the Lord said, ‘vengeance is mine’. That’s what we hold onto,” added Sis. Lizada.
KOJC legal counsel Atty. Adam Jambangan pointed out that the police harassment not only bothers KOJC missionaries but also disrupts the students of Jose Maria College Foundation Incorporated (JMCFI), which is located inside the KOJC compound headquarters.
The KOJC legal counsel stressed that schools are considered a zone of peace.
KOJC legal counsel points out ‘alarming’ police presence outside KOJC compound
“I just want to add, this matter is really alarming, disturbing at the same time, bothersome. Because the issue Marbil mentioned about the lack of police is real, but I think it’s more about the uneven distribution of police assignments and focusing on this matter. You cannot cover your real intention by putting up checkpoints in the vicinity of the KOJC compound. Which is composed of not only the church but also the school. I am really bothered by that fact because there’s a school, and students, and Davao is huge,” said Atty. Adam Jambangan, KOJC Legal Counsel.
“This is supposed to be a zone of peace. We want to emphasize that, this is a school, this is a place of learning. How would you expect students to be comfortable in learning their lessons, when your presence is there? Posing threat, intimidation, and fear. So, I hope you consider that,” he added.
Atty. Jambangan questioned the presence of the PNP outside the religious compound despite the trauma already caused to KOJC missionaries.
“Why do you concentrate your force here? Davao is big and many areas need police presence, why station a lot of them here? Haven’t you considered that you already caused trauma during the June 10 incident? You cannot deny that. So, the mere presence and appearance there again and again is causing repeated trauma, harassment, fear, and anxiety not only to Kingdom citizens but also to students of Jose Maria College. And you have to consider that the students here in JMCFI are not only postgraduate students. There are minors here from basic education to postgraduate. All of them are studying while you are displayed out there,” added Jambangan.
KOJC properties a result of Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy’s ‘zero corruption policy’
The KOJC administrator is questioning why the supposed law enforcers are targeting the properties of the KOJC.
“Everything you see here is all a result of the thoughts of a person with a pure heart and soul—because a person with a crooked mind cannot prepare such a thing—and that is our beloved Pastor. He taught us order, cleanliness, peace, and love for fellowmen, especially for military men in uniform. You are the first group our Pastor planted love for in our hearts because our Pastor said before, you lay down your lives for the peace of the Philippines. But what you are doing now is the opposite. Overnight, you changed our impression of you. You are no longer protectors of law and order, but you are now the ones breaking law and order. Can you imagine? This is a church, we live peacefully here, you have seen inside this place before, it’s open to you, what did you see? Order. That is the result of our discipline here in the Kingdom taught by our beloved Pastor. Why is it like this? Because here, there is zero corruption. We have no personal plans for our lives but for the order of our community,” said Sis. Nelida Lizada, CEO, KOJC.
Political vlogger and commentator Banat By, who is also one of the anchors of SMNI, raised concerns about the Marcos administration’s apparent obsession with bringing down Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy and KOJC.
“You know, fellow citizens, like us Banateros, it’s not our responsibility to defend KOJC, but we are here helping this fight too because we believe that the government is really abusing KOJC and Pastor Quiboloy. This is done to instill fear in anyone who opposes the government, even those who were once our allies, friends, and those who helped us before. They show that if they can bring down or defeat you, then what about those who are not our allies. I think that’s really what the Marcos government is showing, that they are obsessed with Pastor Quiboloy and KOJC. So, fellow citizens, this is not just about whether you are a member or not or if it’s just a concern for KOJC members. This is about the government’s oppression and abuse of Filipinos. So please, join us and the entire KOJC in this fight,” said Banat By, Political Vlogger.
KOJC administrator issues challenge to Marcos admin
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer of KOJC has a challenge for President Bongbong Marcos Jr.
“You said it yourself. You, Honorable President, said law is law. Then show us an example of how you abide by the law. Give us fair treatment and a fair trial. If so, then go ahead. But use your brains because you are all bright. Your gadgets are high-tech; you are not fooling, you generals. Why don’t you investigate this and that, this and that, that’s what we ask? You are sowing fear. You know, all our fear and everything else are gone. Only one thing remains in us now, that’s what I’m saying, don’t push us to the limit. Because we are reasonable people, you have entered here several times, and we entertained you as people and as officers we used to respect. I don’t know, I can’t describe my feelings towards you now. If you let all the Kingdom citizens speak, I don’t know. I am just the first to speak because my chest feels like it’s going to burst,” exclaimed Sis. Lizada.
“Don’t push us to the limit; don’t produce rebels out of us”
Despite of this, the KOJC remains steadfast and will continue to stand for the truth amidst persecution, insults, and defamation against Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy.
“So, I’m telling you, please don’t push us to the limit. Do not produce rebels out of us. We have been transformed from darkness; our Pastor fixed our lives and taught us. What did he teach us? To become good people so we can contribute to the Philippines. But look at you, you demonize our beloved Pastor, we are the products of Pastor. Don’t you see, wherever we go, darkness turns to light, the foul becomes fragrant, and trash turns into gardens?” Sis. Lizada added.
“So, this is our warning to you, do not produce rebels out of us, because we have sound minds. That’s all I have to say. Also, why are you envious of what we have produced? Because you have green eyes, you’re full of jealousy. Why are you making us your pilot project? Why don’t you ask, Kingdom of Jesus Christ, why have you produced this, why that? We could have taught you. Here, there is zero corruption. Corruption here is expelled, not cherished. They are expelled if they refuse to change. That’s how it is,” she also added.
National leaders should serve as a ‘unifying factor’ for Filipinos
Sis. Lizada recalled Marcos Jr.’s visit to the KOJC prayer mountain, criticizing his current administration.
The KOJC administrator reiterated that the role of a national leader should be to unite the people, not to divide them.
“And here’s another thing, Mr. President, a reminder to you. I remember when you were still a senator or whatever your position was, you came to visit the Prayer Mountain. I will never forget what you said to Pastor. “Pastor, this place is beautiful, what did you do? Is it really possible to make the Philippines like this, Pastor?” What was Pastor’s answer to you? Listen again. I want to remind you of this. Pastor told you, “Bong, here there is zero corruption. Every blessing, that’s you, that’s you. Everything you step on here is the product of a sound mind and heart of one person. Do you know what you are stepping on? Our blood and sweat.” We, both men and women, were here at dawn, Pastor led us. We arranged the bricks, the cement, the gardens, everything. We didn’t hire anyone, no expenses, that’s what we call community cooperation. Just imagine if you could unite the Philippines, what would happen to the Philippines? And remember, you are the president of those who voted for you and those who did not. You should be the unifying factor of the Filipino people,” expressed Sis. Lizada.
Not even fiery darts can stop the KOJC from standing for the truth, serving as a light in a nation shrouded in lies and deception.
