RUSSIAN Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused Washington‘s foreign policy was aimed at destabilizing certain parts of the world so that it could fish in troubled waters under the guise of offering security, and fighting terrorism.
Lavrov made the remarks during his recent visit to Tajikistan, stating that Moscow’s diplomatic corps is increasing its global engagement following a period of disarray that happened when the Soviet Union collapsed.
He claimed that Moscow will never again accept rules made by the United States and that his country is at the forefront of a so-called global rebellion against Washington’s Hegemony.
“Over the last couple of years, we have been returning to Africa and Latin America. A determination has accumulated never to accept the ‘rules’ that Washington is imposing. Its role is diminishing, slowly but surely. An increasing number of nations are disillusioned with it,” said Sergey Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister.
Lavrov: Other countries are also growing tired of U.S. orders
Lavrov believes that a Washington-back rules-based order is prone to inconsistency every time a nation tries to determine its own policies and that Russia is at the forefront of a so-called global rebellion against U.S. Hegemony.
Lavrov went to Tajikistan for a two-day visit to the said country.
Tajikistan and Russia are members of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), as well as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
