METROPOLITAN Environmental Office (MEO) – South cooperated in the conducting clearing operation of illegal structures last March 22 in Brgy. Red Land Uno, Las Piñas City.
The River Protection Officers (RPO) of MEO-South delighted the staff of the said barangay, led by Barangay Head Guadalupe Rosales, representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development and Philippine National Police – Las Piñas, which resulted in the transfer of twenty-one (21) families.
Aside from the said activity, which also includes monitoring the situation and providing support to the proper management of illegal structures, RPOs also continue to conduct joint cleanup activities in the waterway to maintain orderliness and cleanliness henceforth.
MEO-South is ready to assist in this operation to achieve and maintain community order, safety, and cleanliness while protecting the rights and welfare of residents, including the nature.
