Demoralization in PNP leadership to be avoided with new chief’s appointment—Retired Official
“To me, this is a positive development because General Acorda might have been extended again! It could cause demoralization among PNP Officers. I remember what happened during President Marcos Sr.’s time—the AFP Chief of Staff’s term was always extended, causing demoralization among the officers,” said Gen. Johnny Macanas Sr. (RET), The General’s Viewpoint vlog.
“Because once the AFP Chief or PNP Chief retires, promotions for those lower down happen quickly,” he added.
The new PNP Chief will focus on continuing the fight against illegal drugs, crime, corruption within their ranks, and other issues.
