NAGKAROON ng memorandum of agreement (MOA) sa pagitan ng League of Vice Governors of the Philippines (LVGP) at Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).
Ito ay sa ginanap na 92nd National Assembly ng mga miyembro ng LVGP sa probinsiya ng Bohol.
Ito ay upang ma-institutionalize ang pagtatag ng provincial Migrant Workers Help Desk sa bawat probinsya sa buong bansa.
“What we’re trying to do in the region is to bring the OWWA’s programs and services down to the grassroots level. That means that what we are trying to achieve is to engage our local government units,” saad ni Region 7, OWWA Regional, Director, Martel R. Dasayon.
Bukod sa pagpupulong, malaki ang tiwala ni Bohol Vice Governor Victor Balite na malaki ang potensyal na hatid sa pagbisita ng mga bise gobernador sa buong bansa upang maisulong ang turismo sa lalawigan ng Bohol.
“Ang impact natin dito is how are we going to boom up our tourism industry, and if there is tourism industry then the rest will follow, that includes infrastructure and we also need healthcare program that could suffice the needs of the tourists,” ani Bohol Vice-Governor, Dionisio Victor Balite.
Samantala, itinaon din ang pagbigay ng pinansyal na tulong sa mga piling OFWs na napauwi dahil sa pandemya at pagbigay ng scholarships sa piling pamilya ng mga OFWs na pinangunahan ng OWWA Region VII at ni OWWA administrator Arnell Ignacio.
