THE 170 proud members of the Philippine Air Force Officer Candidate Course (PAFOCC) SIGMANDIGAN Class of 2024, newly minted Second Lieutenants, paid a courtesy call to the Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force, Lieutenant General Arthur M. Cordura PAF, on January 21, 2025, at Colonel Jesus Villamor Airbase in Pasay City. Notably, the said class adapted the name SIGMANDIGAN, Sundalong May Integridad, Galing Para Sa Mamamayan at Dignidad Para Sa Bayan.
Lieutenant General Cordura congratulated and welcomed them into the ranks of the PAF. He underscored the importance of balancing leadership qualities with personal growth, urging the new officers to take care of those they lead while harnessing their own development. He emphasized the need for professionalism in every aspect of their military careers and personal lives.
Further, the PAF Chief encouraged the new officers to embrace the full weight of their duties with integrity and excellence. He called on them to be the pillars of strength for their subordinates and reminded them to stay focused on the Air Force’s mission towards a mission-oriented, capability-driven, and values-based Philippine Air Force.
