PCG aids fishing banca on fire in Cebu

THE Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has aided a fishing banca that was caught on fire in the vicinity waters off Naga, Cebu.

The Coast Guard District Central Visayas (CGDCV) Command Center received the report involving FBCA KING BRYAN at around 8:25PM yesterday, 05 June 2024.

The CGDCV dispatched its response teams to provide necessary assistance to the crew with the following status:

– 5 rescued

– 3 missing

– 1 unconscious (third degree burn)

– 2 cadavers found around the reported area

Total: 11 crew

MTUG HOMAM, a tugboat with firefighting capabilities, was near FBCA KING BRYAN when the incident occurred so it immediately assisted in putting off the fire
