THE Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Presidential Security Command (PSC) execute successful search and rescue operation amid Typhoon Carina.
On 24 July 2024, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Coast Guard District National Capital Region – Central Luzon (NCR-CL), in collaboration with the PCG Malacañang and the Presidential Security Command (PSC), launched a comprehensive search and rescue (SAR) operation in response to the devastation caused by Typhoon Carina.
The operation aimed to ensure the safety and well-being of Filipinos severely affected by the storm.
The rescue teams worked tirelessly under challenging conditions to evacuate residents from flooded and hazardous areas. Their coordinated efforts together with the Local Disaster and Risk Reduction Management (DRRMOs) encompassing Metro Manila areas ensured that those affected by the storm received prompt and effective assistance.
The Philippine Coast Guard, in collaboration with other agencies, continues to monitor the situation and provide necessary support and assistance to those in need.
