PHILIPPINE Commission on Women (PCW), in partnership with SM Cares, kicked off the 2025 National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) at the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia yesterday, March 5, 2025.
With the sub-theme ‘Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas,’ this year’s celebration aims to foster a society where all women have equal rights, power and opportunities.
A milestone year for the PCW and for all champions of gender equality and women’s empowerment around the world.
2025 stands as a pivotal moment as it marks the Agency’s 50th anniversary, the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Platform for Action (BPfA), the 45th year since the Philippines signed the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), three (3) decades since the introduction of the Gender and Development (GAD) budget policy under the 1995 General Appropriations Act (R.A. No. 7845), and the culmination of the 30-year Philippine Plan for Gender-Responsive Development (PPGD).
Come take part in this month-long advocacy campaign; celebrate our women and their contributions, and believe that Women and Everyone can be equal.
