Police visibility suddenly intensifies as armed officers gather outside KOJC Central HQ

POLICE Chief General Rommel Francisco Marbil himself ordered armed police to position themselves in front of the KOJC Central Headquarters in Davao City.

This was admitted by police personnel were positioned in the said area 24/7.

“First time in history, there are [police] in front of us. Right, there is a checkpoint and police visibility. No criminals here. No crimes here. You should be at the corner. Over there in Sasa,” said Carlo Catiil, KOJC Minister.

“There are many of them here. Up front is the Highway Patrol Group. There’s also the City Mobile Group – full battle gear. They gather at Landmark, Empress. There, they line up. LPU. And here in front of us. Also, up front, Camella, Jollibee, Orchid Hills, Gasoline Station. You’ve really filled it with patrol cars,” he added.

The number of armed police near and right in front of the Central Headquarters of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) in Davao City continues to grow.

This comes after the illegal and violent operations conducted by the police on various KOJC religious compounds on June 10, 2024.

What troubles KOJC missionaries is that these came from various units of the Philippine National Police (PNP), including the Davao City Police Office, Eastern Mindanao Area Police Command, Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 11, Highway Patrol Group, And Police from Regions 10 and 12.

So, the big question for KOJC missionaries — what is the point of having so many police in front of a religious compound late at night until dawn?

And what’s more disturbing is they have been positioned there for 24 hours.

What is the reason behind their deployment from various units of the PNP?

“Why are they really here in front, stationed here? They came from different places, now they’re stationed here. That’s why we’re puzzled because there are no criminals here in KOJC,” said Jun Centinales, KOJC Missionary.

“The instruction to us, sir, is just police visibility. So, it’s not an illegal order, we’re just following orders, sir. We’re just doing police visibility, sir. We’re just patrolling. We just walk around then we go back,” said PCpl. Raymart Lara, RMFB 11.

KOJC minister questions sudden police visibility of armed authorities outside KOJC Central Headquarters

If their reason is police visibility, the missionaries now question why they are positioned in a dark area instead of a place easily seen by the public.

“Look how dark it is. Is that police visibility? It’s very dark sir. You should be at a post with lights so it’s clear to the public, to motorists, that’s police visibility. Visible right. From the word visibility, visible. Not hidden sir. It’s so dark. Look. Turn on the lights. Let there be light and there was light. Look. Bright lights. One more time. Here here here. We aimed four lights there just to expose them. Like that, so we have nothing to hide here. So, it’s bright, we can see what activities are happening. It should be this bright,” exclaimed Catiil.

KOJC missionaries also questioned the police’s prohibition against cleaning and cutting the tall grass in the said area.

“We were stopped there. We weren’t allowed. (Who ordered you to stop?) It was also the police guarding here. They stopped us. I don’t know the reason why they stopped us when we were doing good work to clean up here. Very puzzling. It’s a big question,” said Jun Centinales, KOJC Missionary.

Marbil allegedly ordered armed police officers to position outside KOJC religious compound.

Amid all the pressure and harassment being done by the police against the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, the question remains: Who really gave the order?

“(Who is the head of RMFB 11?) Col. Sebalo, sir. (Col. Sebalo. So, Col. Sebalo’s instruction?) It really came from above, sir. (Above? Does it mean General Marbil?) Yes sir. (So General Marbil’s instruction?) Yes sir. The instruction comes from above, sir,” answered PCpl. Raymart Lara, RMFB 11.

To recall, during a recent press conference, Benhur Abalos of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) insisted that the operations conducted against the KOJC religious compound on June 10, 2024, were thoroughly planned, studied, and well-prepared.
