THE Army’s 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division, under the leadership of MGen. Marion R. Sison, opened its indoor games at the Camp Peralta Jr. covered gym in Jamindan, Capiz, on April 04, 2024.
This event marked the commencement of the division’s pre-anniversary celebration for its upcoming 50th Anniversary, themed “Matatag na Spearhead Division Para sa Bagong Pilipinas.” The activity was participated by various personnel from Command Headquarters, Post, OpCon, and Tenants Units.
The indoor games are one of the many engaging activities planned for the month-long commemoration of 3ID’s Golden Anniversary.
In his message, MGen. Marion R. Sison, the 3ID Commander, emphasized the significance of this milestone, a testament to the dedicated troops, past and present, who have served our nation with honor and integrity since the division’s establishment in 1974. This celebration is a commemoration and a proud testament to the division’s enduring legacy.
“The 3ID has consistently contributed significantly to various operations and missions, earning recognition for its discipline, courage, and unwavering sense of duty. As the 3ID approaches its 50th year, it remains steadfastly committed to the defense of the nation, standing ready to address any threats that may arise,”MGen. Sison concluded.
