MULI na namang nakaranas ng pagkatalo ang komunistang teroristang grupo matapos masawi sa engkuwentro ang isang top leader ng New People’s Army (NPA) sa Malaybalay City, Bukidnon kasama ang pagkakakumpiska ng anim na matataas na kalibre ng armas at ilang mga kagamitang pandigma.
Sa eksklusibong panayam ng SMNI News kay Maj. Francisco Garello, Chief Division Public Affairs Office ng 4th Infantry Division ng Philippine Army sinabi nito na 8:30 ng umaga Agosto 23 araw ng Miyerkules.
Naka-engkuwentro ng tropa mula sa 8th Infantry Battalion sa ilalim ng operational control ng 403rd Infantry Brigade ng 4th Infantry Division ang humigit-kumulang 10 miyembro ng CPP-NPA sa So Lagaslasan, Brgy. Kulaman, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
“The 8th Infantry Battalion under their commanding officer LtCol. Anthony Bacus they receive an information from concerned civilians that there were criminals that the group of communist group who usually bring provisions in their area of operations at nasa presence po sila ‘dun sa area ng community so that’s why the troops of the 8th IB conducted a military focused operations which resulted the armed clash of more or less ten CPP-NPA criminals in the morning around 8:30am of August 23 2023” saad ni Maj. Francisco Garello, Chief Division Public Affairs Office, 4th ID, PA.
Base sa impormasyon, umabot sa 10 minuto ang naging palitan ng putok sa pagitan ng kasundaluhan at ng rebeldeng grupo sa nasabing lugar na nagresulta sa pagkakakumpiska ng 2 M16 rifles, 2 M653 carbine rifles, 2 M203 grenade launchers, 1 anti-personnel mine, sari-saring terrorists materials, mga medical paraphernalia at mga personal na mga gamit.
Napatay rin sa engkuwentro si Christopher Tingkayan alias Mojen/Gamot, 23-taong gulang at kilalang Commanding Officer ng Headquarters Force NEO, Regional Operations Command (ROC) ng North Central Mindanao Regional Committee (NCMRC).
Positibo namang kinilala ng mismong kapatid nito na si Jimboy Tingkayan alias Jovan na dating rebelde na nagbalik-loob na sa pamahalaan ang naging kontribusyon ni alias Gamot sa kilusan.
Dagdag pa ni Maj. Garello na nakaposisyon na ang grupo ni alias Gamot upang magsagawa ng extortion activities bunsod ng nalalapit na Barangay ay Sangguniang Kabataan Election sa darating na Oktubre.
“Common that their doing when the wlwction draws near is they implement permit to win fee to those politicians running for positions sa ngayon their projecting prepositioning their forces ‘yung mga tao nila so that to extort to conduct extortion activities” saad ni Maj. Ayon naman kay BGen Michele B. Anayron Jr. commander ng 403rd Brigade, bagama’t tagumpay man na maituturing para sa mga kasundaluhan ang pagkasawi ng isang leader ng NPA, hindi maitago ng mga sundalo ang kanilang panghihinayang dahil isa na namang kapwa Pilipino ang nasawi dahil sa criminal agenda ng mga terorista.
“It is unfortunate that the CTG continues to sacrifice the lives of their members to pursue their criminal agenda. We are once again saddened by the loss of life of our fellow Filipinos,” wika ni BGen. Michele B. Anayron, Commander, 403 Brigade, PA.
Dahil dito ipinangako ni BGen. Anayron sa mga residente sa Bukidnon na kanilang sisiguraduhin na hindi na muling makakapaghasik ng pananakot, makapangikil ng pera ang mga teroristang grupo at kanila aniyang papanatilihin ang kapayapaan at seguridad sa nasabing lugar.
“With this, we assure the people of Bukidnon that their Army will not allow criminals to continue threaten communities and robbed them of their hard-earned money. We vow to keep the peace and security in the area,” ani Anayron.
