UAE, Egypt launch 9th airdrop of Gaza aid

TWO aircraft carrying about 33 tons of food and medical aid were dropped from the skies of Gaza this past weekend to help alleviate the suffering of the people affected by the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.

The eighth humanitarian airdrop was launched last week in which 64 tons of food and medical aid were sent to the besieged territory.

An estimated 405 tons of humanitarian aid have been delivered to Gaza since the initiative started on February 29.

The humanitarian airdrop was part of the Birds of Goodness initiative and linked to the UAE’s ‘Gallant Knight 3’ humanitarian operation.

Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry said more than 31,000 people have died since the Israel-Hamas war broke out in October of last year.
