VICE President Sara Z. Duterte is set to run for office again, although she has yet to say what position she is aiming for.
Residents of Brgy. Bago Gallera in Davao City cheered for Vice President Sara Duterte during a gathering held on Monday.
During this event, Vice President Duterte announced that she would run again in the next election.
“I heard my siblings Mayor Baste and Cong. Pulong saying that they won’t run. Maybe they won’t run in the next election. So, I’m here with you because I’m campaigning for you because I will run in the next election,” Vice President Sara Duterte said.
However, it is still unclear which position Vice President Duterte will be running for.
Former President Duterte advised VP Sara not to run for president
Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has advised Vice President Sara not to run for the presidency.
According to Duterte, his daughter Sara won’t gain anything from being president.
“I told my daughter, you won’t gain anything from that. You won’t benefit from that.”
“I would tell her (VP Sara), that you won’t gain anything, and the salary is small.”
“You can earn that outside if you practice [law]. But if you ask, “Is there something in the presidency that would make you happy?” None. Nothing,” Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte stated.
However, the former president mentioned that whatever plans Vice President Duterte has for the future, he will continue to support her.
“But for my daughter, that’s what I can say… but whatever her luck is, I will support her, whatever that may be in the future,” FPRRD said.
