TODAY, we stand together as a unified front to advocate for peace and justice in the Philippines. Hakbang ng Maisug, USA, and SDS NY are holding this Vigil Prayer Rally to highlight the ongoing human rights violations in our homeland. We gather to demand respect for fundamental freedoms and to call for a peaceful political transition.
Our vigil underscores the urgent need for a shift from policies of conflict to ones of peace and diplomacy. We call for justice for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) members, whose rights to religious freedom have been grossly violated with the consent of the current administration. This rally is a plea for the respect of free speech and the right to peaceful assembly, essential pillars of any democratic society.
We also call for the resignation of President Marcos Jr., whose governance has led our nation towards the brink of war and jeopardized the safety and well-being of its citizens. It is time for a leadership that prioritizes the peace, justice, and prosperity of all Filipinos.
