OVP ensures immediate aid for disaster victims
Despite this, the OVP assured that its Disaster Operations Center is prepared to address the needs of families affected by the current disaster.
“The timing of the trip coinciding with Typhoon Carina is unfortunate. Nonetheless, the Disaster Operations Center of the OVP, institutionalized by the Vice President, is always ready to assist families affected by calamities,” OVP added.
To recall, on Wednesday night, the OVP Disaster Operations Center quickly distributed relief packs to 300 families temporarily staying at the Manresa Covered Court in Quezon City, which served as an evacuation center.
The relief boxes contained mats, blankets, mosquito nets, hygiene kits, slippers, and collapsible water containers.
The OVP also provided hot meals to disaster responders and victims in Barangay Manresa through their Kalusugan Food Trucks.
