VICE President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte conveyed a message of greetings for the 127th Founding Anniversary of the Philippine Army, saying that its theme “Matatag na Hukbong Katihan para sa Bagong Pilipinas” which translates to “Strong Philippine Army for a New Philippines” resonates deeply with their strong commitment to enhancing the capabilities and readiness of their armed forces towards the attainment of their shared aspirations and common destiny.

Vice President Duterte further added that their professionalism and resilience in the face of various challenges strengthen the country’s position in the international security arena and safeguard the security of every Filipino.
‘‘Your service and sacrifice demonstrate true love for the Philippines and the Filipino people. Let us continue to promote peace and prosperity for our citizens,’’ Vice President Duterte added.
VP Sara Duterte, who has the rank of colonel in the reserve force, also reiterated her support for the continuous strengthening of the Philippine Army.
‘‘I will continue to support programs aimed at strengthening our defense and ensuring the security of our state. She also called for unity towards a stronger Armed Forces ready to face future challenges and safeguard the independence and integrity of the Philippine territory,’’ Duterte said.
