VICE President Sara Duterte personally visited two of the wounded soldiers in February 22 at the Adventist Medical Center, Iligan City.
These two soldiers were injured in Munai, Lanao del Norte on February 18 and 21, 2024.
During her visit, the vice president spoke with the doctor and was relieved to learn that both were stable and safe although one still needs surgery.
She noticed that the two injured soldiers were without guardians because their loved ones were far away. This highlights one of the challenges of being a soldier, to endure being away from the family for the sake of serving the nation.
In her conversation with them, she thanked them for their heartfelt service to the nation in the midst of danger and threat to their lives.
VP Duterte also thanked Dr. Nestor Molleda for taking care of the soldiers and ensuring their well-being.
VP Duterte expressed appreciations to the soldiers for the sacrifice and patriotism, contributing to the peace and order of the nation.
