A witness has broken his silence and pointed out the individuals behind the current attacks against Vice President Sara Duterte, implicating her in the Oplan Tokhang in Davao City.
“We met in 2016, in December, because… Because I was one of those recruited by Antonio Trillanes, with father Alejo, to become a fake witness,” according to Guillermina Barrido, Witness against Lascañas.
With confidence and firsthand knowledge, Davao-based businesswoman now turned vlogger Guillermina Barrido breaks her silence against self-confessed hitman Arturo Lascañas.
Lascañas is now accusing Vice President Sara Duterte, linking the second-highest official to Oplan Tokhang, an anti-drug campaign during the Duterte administration.
However, Barrido claims Lascañas is a fake witness who demanded millions for his new script to discredit the Dutertes, including former Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
“He asked for a down payment of 19 million”.
“In 2022, he resurfaced, adding more statements, adding more people to his statement, because you know, he’s being paid for doing that,” Barrido stated.
Barrido also alleges that Lascañas is colluding with former Senator Antonio Trillanes, who is once again speaking out against the Dutertes.
She claims the Liberal Party, supported by a US-based Filipina businesswoman, is funding the smear campaign.
“Trillanes is just a player because the one behind the payments, when PRRD was president, is from the US. Including Loida Lewis. The US is behind this,” Barrido added.
In a statement issued Thursday, Duterte maintained she had no involvement with the Davao Death Squad and dismissed the hitman’s allegations as a fabrication.
Duterte challenges Lascañas to file charges in court to substantiate his claims.
