AABOT sa P6.352-T ang proposed National Budget para sa Fiscal Year 2025.
Ito ang sinabi ni Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary and Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC) Chairperson Amenah Pangandaman kasunod ng ika-188 pulong ng komite.
Sinabi ni Sec. Pangandaman na 10.1 percent na mas mataas ang 2025 proposed budget kaysa sa pambansang pondo ngayong 2024 na nasa P5.768-T.
Inilahad pa ng kalihim na ang nasabing panukalang budget ay katumbas ng 22.0 percent ng Gross Domestic Product (GDP) ng bansa.
Sabi pa niya, malaking bahagi ng pondo ang nakalaan para sa sektor ng edukasyon, pangkalusugan, social protection at agrikultura.
“Agriculture will also remain to be a top priority as we increase our investments for food security. We also have infrastructure development and digitalization as well as climate projects,” ayon kay Sec. Amenah Pangandaman, DBM.
Ipinaliwanag ng kalihim na kaya mas mataas ng 10.1 percent ang nasabing proposed budget ay dahil nataon ito sa midterm elections sa susunod na taon.
Bukod rito, mas mataas din ang National Tax Allotment para sa local government units (LGUs) at may bagong batas na nagtataas sa allowances ng mga guro.
“Expansion of the 4Ps, we already included the first 1000 days, we budgeted for that. Next, we also budgeted the recently signed law, ‘yung teachers allowance from P5,000 to P10,000, among others,” giit ni Pangandaman.
Nakatakdang ipresenta ang proposed budget sa cabinet meeting sa Hulyo 2.
Isusumite naman ng DBCC sa Kongreso ang panukalang pondo sa Hulyo 29, isang linggo makalipas ang ikatlong State of the Nation Address (SONA).
Ang proposed 2025 National Budget ay nakaangkla sa temang, “Agenda for Prosperity: Fulfilling the Needs and Aspirations of the Filipino People.”
Ang 188th DBCC Meeting ay dinaluhan din nina National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Sec. Arsenio Balisacan, Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs Sec. Frederick Go, at ilang opisyal ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas at Department of Finance (DOF).
