THE 8th Infantry Division Commander Major General Adonis Ariel Orio led the ceremony for the promotion of four new Colonels on January 18, 2025, at the 8ID Headquarters in Catbalogan City, Samar.
The newly promoted Colonels include Lt. Col. Allan Tria, Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence (OG2); Lt. Col. Ernesto Dela Rosa, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations (OG3); Lt. Col. Arnold Lozada, Assistant Chief of Staff for Logistics (OG4); and Lt. Col. Luzelito Betinol, Assistant Chief of Staff for Training and Education (OG8).
During the ceremony, Maj. Gen. Orio congratulated the newly promoted Colonels and reminded them that their new rank comes with greater responsibility.
“All ranks and insignias are not rewards; they are calls to action. They demand excellence, resilience, and a constant drive to improve ourselves, our unit, and the people we serve,” Maj. Gen. Orio stated.
He emphasized that their promotions are not only recognition of their hard work, dedication, and sacrifices, but also a testament to the trust placed in them by the division and the nation.
