FOR Chadchart Sittipunt, his first year as governor of Bangkok deserves just a five out of ten ratings because of the few policies he failed to deliver.
Dubbed the ‘strongest minister on Earth’ by netizens, Chadchart was able to implement 211 out of 226 policies during his year in office.
The 13th of June marked his first year as governor of Bangkok.
He expressed enjoyment in his work and claimed he had “more than enough energy” left to continue performing in the capacity of Bangkok governor.
The remaining 11 policies he failed to implement were mostly related to the economy and traffic which he explained require cooperation from other related sectors.
The city governor thanked his team, the residents, and partner networks for making his first year as seamless as possible.
A survey conducted by the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) from May 24-30 showed Bangkok residents are still largely satisfied with
his hard work and dedication to his job, with only 7.93% “dissatisfied” with his efforts.
Chadchart rose to fame when he secured a landslide victory in the gubernatorial election in May of last year wherein he won more than 1.3 million votes, the highest to be recorded in any Bangkok gubernatorial race.
The Bangkok governor vowed last month that every day will be a ‘no smoking day’ by making sure all anti-smoking and tobacco control laws are strictly enforced in the capital to protect people from passive smoking.
