STUDENTS from different countries will showcase their skills in mathematics at the Philippine International Mathematical Olympiad (PHIMO) held in Davao City starting Friday, September 22.
The Jose Maria College Foundation Inc. (JMCFI) of Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy was chosen as the host for the said event.
About 1,128 students from kindergarten to Grade 12 from different countries will participate in the competition.
This includes the Philippines, Iran, Cambodia, Australia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, and Vietnam.
Eight JMarians will also compete in the said event.
“They are the chosen students from schools, the go to hit round…representative for the final round,” according to Engr. Karen Mr, Motli President.
“It aims to engage all students all over the world..golden trophy,” Aileen Y. Financial, JD, Motli Managing Director said.
JMCFI was scheduled to host PHIMO in 2020, however, it was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
PHIMO Chief Examiner Dr. Exquil Bryan P. Aron said they chose Davao City and JMCFI as the host because they want to showcase the city, which is also the home of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
JMCFI expressed its utmost gratitude to its founding President, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, for his continuous and unwavering support.
