DPWH installs 3,709 new streetlights for road safety in Valenzuela City

DEMONSTRATING its continued commitment to public safety, the Department of Public Works and Highways – Metro Manila 3rd District Engineering Office successfully completed the installation of 3,709 new roadway lighting structures, covering 105 kilometers of road networks in Valenzuela City.

The project spans several key areas in Districts 1 and 2, including Brgy. Ugong, Lawang Bato – Punturin – Bignay, Parada, Karuhatan – Malinta, Marulas – Gen. T. De Leon, and Canumay East – Lawang Bato.

Strategically planned to illuminate high-traffic areas, intersections, and zones with limited visibility – the installation of modern, energy-efficient streetlights helps reduce accidents, ensures safer travel for both motorists and pedestrians, and deters crime in local neighborhoods.

As part of the ‘Build Better More’ program of President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr., spearheaded by DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, the project will provide secured roadways, enhancing public safety, and reinforcing its commitment to regional development goals.
