A true taste of Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur

THE delegates of the Philippine Experience Program (PEP) Caraga enjoyed a gastronomic feast with a generous selection of dishes from Bayugan City’s bountiful lands.

The highlight of the dinner reception at the Lope A. Asis Gymnasium was a special five-course degustation featuring Bayugan’s most popular produce in a flavorful medley of dishes, ranging from savory to sweet.

Guests delighted in the appetizing spin on tofu, the flavorful Binutungan dish made with chicken and coconut, fresh Pako Salad, and grilled chicken. The showcase of local desserts, including Biko Dukot, Camote Butchi, and Gabi Latik, allowed everyone to relish the abundance of fresh ingredients.

The evening also featured special performances from Bayugan City’s talented local artists, who showcased the city’s rich culture and renowned Filipino hospitality through a night filled with dances and music.
