OPISYAL nang binuksan ng Hukbong Sandatahan ng Pilipinas ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Joint Exercise (AJEX) 07-2023, Dagat-Langit-Lupa (DAGIT-PA) na gaganapin sa North Luzon.
“By virtue of the authority vested in me as the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, I hereby declare the Armed Forces of the Philippines Joint Exercise DAGAT, Langit, Lupa 07-2023 open effective today,” ani AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr.
Ang AJEX 2023 DAGIT-PA ay binuo upang mas mapag-ibayo ang sanib-puwersang kakayahan ng AFP sa pamamagitan ng tuluy-tuloy na pagsasanay sa mga unit nito.
Ang nabanggit na pagsasanay ay lalahukan ng mga 1,500 Pilipinong sundalo mula sa Philippine Army, Philippine Navy at Philippine Air Force.
Magtatapos ang joint exercises sa Nobyembre 17, 2023.
Mayroon itong apat na pangunahing aktibidad, ito ay ang Staff Exercise, Command Post Exercise, Cyber Defense Exercise, at Field Training Exercise.
Layon nitong pataasin ang antas ng kapasidad ng Hukbong Sandatahan ng Pilipinas pagdating sa himpapawid, karagatan, at kalupaan.
Sa kaniyang talumpati, sinabi ni AFP chief of staff Gen. Romeo Brawner, Jr. ang kahalagahan ng konsepto ng pagsasanib puwersa.
“In this fears ever changing world, the importance of joint operating concepts cannot be over stated, together we will harness the power of seemless collaboration across branches of services living no room weakness or division,” ayon pa kay Brawner.
Kasabay nito, sinagot naman ni MGen. Marvin Licudine ng Philippine Army at Exercise Director ng AJEX ang tanong kung bakit sa joint areas ng Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) gaganapin ang pagsasanay.
“Because last year we conducted the exercise in the Western Command area that was in Palawan and Region 4, this year we tend to see the ground because this are all preparation of exercise” ayon kay MGen. Marvin Licudine, Exercise Director, AJEX 07-2023.
Kung matatandaan noong nakaraang taon, ginanap ang AJEX sa iba’t ibang lugar sa Palawan.
Sa huli ipinangako ng AFP chief of staff na sila ay patuloy na magbabantay sa loob at labas ng bansang Pilipinas.
“Even if the units are involve in territorial defense bantayan natin ang ating bakuran, hindi lamang tayo nakatingin sa labas ng ating bakuran pero ‘yung sarili nating bakuran ay dapat nating bantayan,” ani Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr, Chief of Staff, AFP.
