COMNOLCOM leads JTG Baguio’s summit for enhanced peace and security

LIEUTENANT General Fernyl Galera Buca PAF, Commander of the Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM), recently graced the Unit Briefing of the Joint Task Group (JTG) Baguio, underscoring his commitment to enhancing the peace and security landscape of the region. The event took place on January 26, 2023 at the Headquarters of Tactical Operations Group 1 in Brgy. Loakan Airport, Baguio City.

The convergence provided a crucial platform for LtGen. Buca to offer valuable guidance, as well as for the leadership of the JTG Baguio to present comprehensive updates on the prevailing peace and security conditions within the city.

Additionally, the forum served as an opportunity to discuss future plans and activities aimed at further advancing the strides made toward ensuring lasting peace in the area.

In attendance alongside LtGen. Buca were MGen. Audrey L Pasia ,  Commander, 5ID; MGen. Rey B. Alemania, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, J4;  MGen. Arvin R. Lagamon PA,  Deputy Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, J7; and BGen. Benjamin de Leon Hao, Commander of the Civil-Military Operations Regiment, PA who provided additional insights in enhancing the operational tempo of JTG Baguio.

Their collective presence not only showcased a united front in support of JTG Baguio but also contributed valuable expertise and insights, enhancing the overall discussion and operational effectiveness of JTG Baguio.

Adding to the collaborative effort, and BGen. Aldwine Almase, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, J2, and Commodore Peter Jempsun De Guzman, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, J3, participated via Video Teleconferencing (VTC) which further bolstered the comprehensive discussion and operational effectiveness of JTG Baguio.

Joint Task Group Baguio, an AFP-PNP collaboration, stands resolute under LtGen. Buca’s leadership, reaffirming the military’s dedication to ensuring enduring peace in the region.
