A coffee shop owner apologized to costumers after one of the employees in the cafe was found to have mixed her own blood into the drinks they served.
The Mondaiji Cafe in Sapporo, Hokkaido informed costumers and the general public in a Tweet that they fired one of their employees for allegedly mixing her own blood into cocktails she served.
This announcement was made on the 2nd of April, 2023 and the sacked employee’s name has not been disclosed.
Mondaiji Con Café Daku which loosely translates to “problem child dark café” is themed for hiring waitresses who wear dark and Goth-style make-up.
It is well known for it’s all you can drink menu for only 19 U.S. dollars.
In a Twitter post, the owner said that the store will be cleaned, the glasses changed as well as disposing the alcohol that have been contaminated.
In the statement issued, the owner also apologized for the inconvenience caused.
The Tweet adds that “such an act is no different from part-time job terrorism and is absolutely not acceptable”.
Meanwhile, doctors advised customers the said waitress had served to undergo medical tests to rule out transmitted diseases such as HIV, Hepatitis C, Hepatitis B and syphilis.
